Caring For Families In Brazil

Caring for others has been at the heart of who we are at Johnson & Johnson for more than 125 years. In keeping with our legacy of caring, Johnson & Johnson became the Exclusive and Official Healthcare Sponsor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil. The FIFA World Cup™ is the world’s largest sporting event, enabling Johnson & Johnson to connect our passion for caring with the world’s passion for football.

At Johnson & Johnson, we believe everyone has the power to do extraordinary things in caring for the health and well-being of others. This belief led us to develop the CARE INSPIRES CARE™ campaign.

”At the heart of CARE INSPIRES CARE™ is the belief that one act of care can inspire another,” said Wendy Tull Bucaro, Director of Corporate Equity, Johnson & Johnson. “Whether it’s providing the information needed to know how to live a healthier lifestyle, supporting those in need in our communities, or just encouraging people to spend more time with loved ones, our efforts in Brazil and around the world are an opportunity to bring to life the principles in Our Credo and to truly inspire a more caring world.”

Our work has already begun. At the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013, more than 2,100 event volunteers around Brazil received free preventive health screenings, and more than 10,000 people visited the Stadium of Care displays at six venues, sharing messages of care and, most importantly, helping to contribute to the well-being of children in Brazil.

In the lead up to this year’s tournament, our targeted programs will support the healthy futures of families in Brazil. “We are proud to leverage our FIFA World Cup™ sponsorship to make a strong contribution to saving and improving lives in this country,” said Ricardo Wolff, Director of Institutional Marketing, Johnson & Johnson Brazil. “Our Tour do Carinho (Caring Tour) will feature a nationwide call to action to encourage blood donations, and partnerships with public hospitals around the country to facilitate humanization training which will help to raise the importance of caring in medical practice.”

We will continue to highlight the importance of caring and its potential to positively impact the lives of others, as evidenced in our Champions of Care program and the Care in Action video series. The first video was the #2 watched video on Facebook in Brazil in 2013. It can be viewed on the Johnson & Johnson YouTube channel.
